Having seen multiple nesting places of this rare bird during several safaris with Red Rock 4 Wheelers, I am proud to support this campaign to save this endangered bird. It must truly be magnificent
Here are some photos of a large communal nesting site. The nests are oriented so that morning sunlight warns the eggs and then the surrounding sandstone keeps them warm overnight. Egg size and shape is determined by the size and age of the bird laying the egg, thus the variation. Astonishing!
